Ruth, hi have come across your blog recently. Inspiring. I’m following in your footsteps but way behind you. I started on the Sw coast path in 2004 and only manage around 150 miles a year owing to work and family commitments. But it’s the journey that counts I guess, not the arrival.
I note that you haven’t walked since October last great. Are you still doing it?
Best wishes
Patrick
Hi Pat. Apologies for the delay in replying, but I’ve been quite ill with one of those winter fluey-bugs and couldn’t even raise the energy to turn my computer on!
Well done for starting on the SWP, one of the hardest parts of my coastal walk, especially that north Cornwall stretch around Bude – oh my goodness, don’t know how I did that!
Only 150 miles a year? No need to worry. It’s hard fitting in trips around work and family, but it really is the journey that’s important. And the coast isn’t going away, so you have plenty of time to enjoy it.
I’ve done a few days walking in Feb, but not been well enough to write it up… so, yes, I’m still doing it. Best wishes and Happy Walking 😀
Oh, and your cartoons are brilliant. Just watched the one for the TED talks on pandemics.
